Subic Beach in Sorsogon is also known as the “pink beach” because of the fine pink particles mixed on the sand. According to studies, these are pink shells and corals but in a wide view of the beach, it is a long stretch of white sand with crystal emerald waters.
Island hopping, travel guide and how to get to Sorsogon:
HOW TO GET HERE: Our point of origin was in Legaspi Ciy, Albay. So, from the Shell gas station in Daraga, we rode in a bus with “Bulan” signboard and alighted in Trece. Travel Time: 3-4 hours. In Trece, we chartered a tricycle to Matnog, alighted in front of the municipal hall and met Christian, our boatman. From Manila via land, there are buses bound for Matnog.
In Subic Beach, there are stores, restaurants and homestays. There are groups of people who are offering services and activities such as kayaking and henna tattoos. Another destination in Matnog is Juag Lagoon Marine Sanctuary. It is where tourists visitors can enjoy feeding the huge Lapu-lapu and other fishes.
